Syrian ‘WMDs’: U.S. loss of credibility deepens as world suffering worsens

Chemical weapons Syria déjà vu “WMDs” Iraq

“Evidence” fails to pass muster, deepening invasion worsens suffering

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

“…materials collected by the Obama administration regarding the use of chemical weapons by Syrian troops would not meet the requirements of the Hague-based Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)…

‘Blood samples, urine, soil, and clothing are considered serious evidence only in the case where these samples are taken by experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and if these experts controlled these samples during the entire duration of the investigation in appropriate laboratories.’

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay (two days ago):

Syrian refugees, displaced people
93,000 (est.) people have died since the outbreak of the foreign-sponsored militancy against the Syrian government.

Syrian government

U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes’ claim on June 13 that the Syrian government ‘has used chemical weapons, including the nerve agent sarin, on a small scale’ against the foreign-backed Takfiri militants ‘multiple times in the last year’ has been disputed by Syrian officials who counter that ─

…the militants have used chemical weapons on several occasions, including an attack in the region of Khan al-Assal in the northwestern province of Aleppo on March 19, where more than two dozen people died.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Yesterday the Secretary-General responded to U.S. officials’ further announcement to openly arm people attempting to overthrow Syria’s government.

‘Providing arms to either side would not address this current situation….

There is no military solution to this conflict.…

The military path points directly towards the further disintegration of the country.’
