bring down his country’s socialist government
by causing shortages of vital food products such as milk, meat, and chicken; also
rising inflation, cuts in electricity, increases in contraband on the
Venezuelan-Colombian border, and theft of government-supplied foreign exchange.
Venezuela’s Oil Minister and President of the state oil company PDVSA, Rafael
Ramirez, told journalists that the opposition in his country is using a
strategy aimed creating panic and destabilization among Venezuelans.
Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA,
Spanish pronunciation: [peðeˈβesa]) (Petroleum of Venezuela) is the Venezuelan
state-owned oil and natural gas company ─Wikipedia
Different sides reportedly differ as to what is playing out
in Venezuela. The opposition argues that the government’s negligence is generating
the crisis. Socialists say the United States is leading sabotage against President
Maduro.

U.S./Israeli Sabotage: Iran
October 30, 2013: Binghamton University (New York) Sociology
Professor emeritus James Petras told Press TV on Wednesday, the “Israel lobby [is]
trying to ‘sabotage’ Iran-U.S. nuclear talks.”
Having failed to convince Washington to launch a military
strike against Iran, the professor said, “The Israel lobby in the United States
is now focusing on ‘sabotaging’ nuclear talks between Tehran and world powers” and
‘strangling [Iran’s] economy.’”
Outlining underlying motives, Petras pointed out that Israel’s
government “‘has very close relations with its proxies in the United States,
essentially the principal Zionist organizations, who are very heavily funded
and have financed the electoral campaigns and provided direct contributions
totaling over 100 million dollars over the last 30 years and actually have
financed 230 politicians in the U.S. Congress and over 50 senators.…
“‘They have bought the U.S. Congress,’” he said.
Illustrating the point, Robert Menendez (D-NJ), chairman of the
U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, declared in a Monday meeting of the
American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in New York that now “‘is not
the time to loosen sanctions’” warfare in Iran.

U.S. Sabotage: Pakistan
November 2, 2013: Interior Minister calls U.S. drone strike “‘murder of peace’” [sabotage]
After Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif announced
that his government had begun dialogues with Taliban militants in the hope of
stopping the death of people and security forces, a U.S. assassination drone
targeted and killed Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud along with four other
people in the tribal area of North Waziristan. The Taliban rapidly replaced their
slain leader with Khan Said Sanja and “promised a wave of bombings in
retaliation for Mehsud’s death.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Office said “the Friday U.S. strike was ‘counter-productive’
to [was sabotaging] that country’s efforts to bring peace and stability to Pakistan
and the region.’” Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the U.S.
strike was a “‘murder of peace’: seen by his country as ‘a strike not on an
individual but [a strike] on the peace process.’”
The Press TV report said Pakistan has summoned the U.S.
envoy to protest the latest killings.
