Week against the Apartheid Wall, November 9 – 16 — “Together we will
tear down the Apartheid Wall!”
The Wall isolates Jerusalem and
puts more than 260,000 Palestinians at risk of expulsion.… Once finished,
together with the settlements and military closed areas, the Apartheid Wall would
annex some 50 percent of the West Bank and steal most of its water resources. When
Israel started construction of the Wall in 2002, they scheduled completion for 2005;
then 2008; then 2011. This year Israel set the deadline for 2020. Popular
resistance has played a primary role in delaying construction of the Wall.

Middle East Occupied Territories |
However, Palestinian activists
and communities are paying a high price for their resistance to the ghettoizing
of their people. Hundreds have been imprisoned, thousands injured, and 16 have died
in their attempts to save their lands and preserve their rights.…
Prolonged, popular struggle …
comes at a high cost. Mass killings, large-scale arrests, and torture have been
used by the regimes to protect their power.
Emboldened by impunity, the Israeli
reaction has been murder, repression, and more walls. Israeli authorities have announced
construction of a wall along the Egyptian border and in the Syrian Golan
Heights.

Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign |
Struggle continues. Solidarity is
imperative.
It is time for the world, movements, organizations and people of
conscience to stand up and support the Arab and Palestinian people. Pressure governments,
institutions, and corporations to withdraw their protection and support of
Israeli apartheid, colonialism, and occupation — because Palestine is the heart
of the Arab world; without a solution to the Palestinian issue, there can be no
lasting peace and justice!
No walls will shield Israeli
apartheid against our spirit of rebellion and our calls for justice and
self-determination. Join the 9th-annual International Week against the
Apartheid Wall November 9-16, 2011.

STOP THE WALL Campaign
The Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign (or Stop the
Wall) launched in 2002 has been the main national grassroots body mobilizing
and organizing the collective efforts against the Apartheid Wall. It is based
on the efforts of popular committees in the villages affected by the Wall where
people can meet, organize, strategize and mobilize. A coordination mechanism in
each West Bank district allows regional coordination as well as West Bank wide
coordination.
The Stop the Wall coordination office works to ensure national
networking, research and international outreach.
Sanctioned by the decision of the International Court of Justice on the
legal consequences of the construction of the Wall (July 9 2004), the immediate
goals of the Stop the Wall campaign are:
Immediate cessation
of the building of the Wall
Dismantling of all
parts of the Wall and its related zones already built
Return of lands
confiscated for the path of the Wall
Compensation of
damages and lost income due to the destruction of land and property in addition
to the restitution of land
