Elizabeth Warren |
By Carolyn Bennett
On Saturday, despite the mass distraction, Consumer advocate and academic Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts won the Democratic
nomination to challenge U.S. Senator Scott Brown. The Christian Science Monitor
asked in its Sunday headline, “Has she put the ‘Cherokee issue’ behind her?” Well, I
expect she could if the press and Co would.

If
there is outrage here, it rests with the peddlers of an insidious attack on and
undermining of women and minorities and their aspirations.
According to the latest Western New England University poll
of registered voters, the Monitor reports, Warren leads Brown 45-43 percent
(within a 4.4-point margin of error).

There is no burning cross or blue
dress here, so give it a rest.
